Background

I didn't take a traditional path to therapy. I studied art history, worked in design and recruiting, and learned the hard way that curiosity, honesty, and compassion are what create real change.

During my clinical practicum and internship, I trained at a recovery center, where I specialized in addiction counseling and trauma-informed care. That's where everything clicked—all those seemingly unrelated experiences had taught me the same essential truth: people are complicated, context matters, and the surface story is never the whole story.

I also know what it's like to feel stuck, to perform a version of yourself that doesn't fit, to realize the life you built isn't the one you actually want. I've done my own work—in therapy, in relationships, in rebuilding. I've fallen apart and put myself back together.

That's not something I'm ashamed of. It's what makes me good at this. It's why I can sit with you in the mess without flinching—because I've been in the mess too, and I know what it takes to find your way out.

What Therapy With Me Looks Like

You'll Learn To:

  • Identify the patterns keeping you stuck (and how to interrupt them)

  • Recognize when your protective parts are running the show

  • Access your authentic Self beneath the armor and performance

  • Build concrete coping skills that actually work for you

  • Set boundaries without guilt

  • Sit with discomfort instead of constantly running from it

You'll Leave Sessions With:

  • Clarity about what's actually going on (not just what you think is going on)

  • Perspective shifts that change how you see yourself and your situation

  • Specific tools and strategies you can use right away

  • Homework that builds on what we discussed (small, doable actions)

What Growth Looks Like:

  • Not linear—some weeks you'll feel like you're backsliding (that's normal)

  • Sometimes messy—insight can be uncomfortable before it's helpful

  • Gradual—you won't wake up "fixed," but you'll notice small shifts adding up

  • Yours—not based on my timeline or anyone else's expectations
